The Facebook pixel A piece of code for your website that lets you measure, optimize and build audiences for your ad campaigns. in order to enable the WFIO & Facebook pixel integration we first need to create a new pixel in the Facebook Events Manager.

  • Click Connect Data Sources and select Web

  • Select Meta Pixel and click Connect.

    Add your Pixel Name.

  • Enter your website URL to check for easy setup options.

  • Click Continue.

Once you've created your Meta Pixel, you're ready to put the Pixel code on your website. In the main view of our events panel, on the right top corner we’ll see the facebook pixel ID, this value we need to copy it and then create a new Pixel in our WFIO instance as described in the Add Pixels Guide.

Once the pixel has been created and added to our domain or specific page the integration will load and send the following events.

Create Your Own Facebook Custom Conversions

If none of the standard event codes match the information you want to track, you can create a custom conversion. To do this, navigate to your Facebook pixel page in Events Manager and click the Custom Conversions tab on the left. In the upper-right corner of the page, click Create Custom Conversion.

Use the Facebook Event Setup Tool, step 10, menu option to set up custom conversions for your Facebook pixel

Next, enter the URL of the page on which you want the custom conversion to fire and type in a name for the event.

Use the Facebook Event Setup Tool, step 11, URL setting for when your custom conversion will fire

You also have the option to enter a value to track a number, product, or value associated with the event. When you’re done, click Create.

In this example we’ve added the events relates to a survey and as we can see in the image although these events do not exist in the default list of facebook’s events, the custom events are now being received, stored and measured by our facebook pixel.
