Delayed Sections using Video Component (VSL)

Purpose:

To be able to make sections appear or disappear according to a specific event created inside the video component

 

Pre Requisites:

Active funnels

 Instructions

  • Navigate to Funnels on the left-hand side menu

  • Select your funnel and click on Edit

  • Select the page you are going to work on

  • Start Building your page and adding components

  • Add the Video Component to start creating video events

  • Fill out the required information for your video

  • Create a video event by selecting the “Video Events” tab and create a title and action for your event (For this example we will use a custom time event)

  • By selecting a custom time event we are choosing a specific time in the video for the event to fire

  • Once the Video Event has been created make sure to “save” the page

  • Now you can select the section or column that you want to apply the event to

  • Click Advanced and select Interactions

  • Select the event ID that you created previously in the video component and the time event

  • And select if you want the section or column to show or hide

  • Once that is complete, make sure that the page is published

  • For this example we added a time event at 2:30 as you can see in the image below right now all you can see in the page is the video and it is at 2:29

  • Once the video reached 2:30 you are able to see the other sections that were hidden by the event
